Seasonal Facility Positions

Camp John Marc is looking for individuals to join our weekend kitchen staff who are team players, have the ability to work a flexible schedule, follow directions, and work independently. Once your application has been received and reviewed, we will let you know if you have been selected for a phone screening or interview (virtually or in person).

Criteria for Employment:

  • Transportation to/from camp.
  • Be able to safely lift 50 lbs. (with/without reasonable accommodation).
  • Be legally eligible for employment in the US (proof of citizenship/immigration status will be required upon employment).
  • Clear a criminal background check (individuals 18 years old and older).
  • Kitchen Only:
    • Food Handler’s certification; Camp John Marc will help you acquire this certification (if you do not already have it).
    • Cook: be at least 18 years old
    • Dishwasher: be at least 15 years old
  • Housekeeping: be at least 15 years old
  • Facility: be at least 16 years old with a current driver’s license

 

Spring Weekends (March 1-May 12, 2024)

Kitchen: Cooks ($13-15/hour) and Dishwashers ($9-10/hour)

Responsibilities:

  • To prepare and manage healthy meal service.
  • To maintain an organized and clean kitchen.
  • To maintain and use commercial-grade kitchen equipment.
  • To work cohesively with other cooks and dishwashers.

Summer Weekdays (May 13-August 2, 2024)

Kitchen: Dishwasher ($9-10/hour) Responsibilities

  • To maintain an organized and clean kitchen and food service area.
  • To prepare and clean up all meals including table setting, rolling silverware, and more.
  • To maintain and use commercial-grade dishwasher.
  • To work cohesively with other cooks and dishwashers.

 

Housekeeping Assistant ($10-13/hour) Responsibilities

  • To maintain an organized and clean cabins and common spaces.
  • To work cohesively with other housekeeping and facility staff.

 

Facility Assistant ($10-12/hour) Responsibilities

  • To maintain an organized and well run campground.
  • To drive an ATV and run trash for all cabins and common spaces.
  • To assist with day to day facility repairs or issues.
  • To work cohesively with other housekeeping and facility staff.

Seasonal Summer Staff

Summer Staff (Activity Leaders)
– be at least 18 years old.
– be legally eligible for employment in the United States.
– be able to safely lift 50 lbs. (with/without reasonable accommodation).
– complete a comprehensive medical history and required immunization forms. Medical forms provided upon offer of the position.
– have completed one year of college or comparable life experience by the start of the summer 2024.
– submit a criminal background check; provided upon offer of the position.
– commit to working from mid-May through early-August (staff training and 10 weeks of summer camps).

If accepted, summer staff will be subject to a random drug test during the summer season.
