Family Getaway
The Camp John Marc Family Getaway program serves Texas-area families who have a child with a chronic illness or major physical disability.
Our goal is to provide families an opportunity to experience quality
family time in the great outdoors at no cost!
Take time to smell the wildflowers!
Enjoy an afternoon fishing or taking a nature hike. A Family Getaway
weekend allows the entire family the chance to experience camp and
see just what camp has to offer.
Where Will You Stay?
Getaway Families will stay at camp in duplex-style lodges with 2 bedrooms,
1 bathroom, a living area, and a kitchenette. Each bedroom has 2 twin
beds and the living area has a couch with a trundle bed. Each lodge
has a small refrigerator, microwave and sink in the kitchenette area.
There are also grills and a fire pit outside the lodges in the courtyard
area.
What Is There To Do?
Each family is individually responsible for medical care, food, self-programmed activities and supervision of children. Activities that can be done on an individual, self-programmed basis are: fishing, nature hikes, arts & crafts, and sports. Meridian and the surrounding Bosque County are full of unique attractions, antique shopping, weekend festivals, and a variety of restaurants and stores.
